The AEA proudly provides Journey Accident Insurance to all members employed by SA Ambulance Service.
Our group policy covers members whilst on a journey between their normal place of residence and travel directly to their normal place of employment with SA Ambulance Service. Cover ceases upon arrival at members’ normal place of employment. Cover re-commences for the return Journey.
A Journey also extends to include cover for activities undertaken during lunchtimes and meal breaks.
Summary of cover provided to AEA members employed by SA Ambulance Service
Weekly Benefits for total/partial disablement 90% of salary up to $3,000/wk, 7 day waiting period covered for up to 104 weeks.- Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disability and other lump sum benefits $100,000
- Injury Resulting in Fractured Bones $3,000
- Injury Resulting in Loss or Damage to Teeth $1,000
- Accidental HIV Infection Benefit $10,000
- Dependent Child Benefit – $5,000 to a maximum of $15,000 per family
- Domestic Help Benefit $250 per week
- Independent Financial Advice – $10,000
- Modification Benefit – $15,000
- Rehabilitation Benefit – $20,000
- Student Tutorial Benefit $250 per week
- $1.5m Aggregate Liability Limit
